EAL new west cargo terminal in PVG along the third runway started building from 19th July 2012 and were put into use on 19th June 2014. Its floor space is 400,000 square meters, area of structure is 55,000 square meters and the designed handling capacity is 0.7 million tons a year. The new cargo terminal will mainly serve all-cargo operators.

The west cargo terminal have built not only 590 sqm TC warehouse inside the new cargo terminal and 1825 sqm TC warehouse outside the new cargo terminal, but also apply GDP certification for such mentioned TC warehouses.New TC storage are built up to satisfy market needs. EAL apply for GDP certification from SGS to ensure the storage quality.GDP project has been completed certificate  in  Aug 2015.

The new cargo terminal will be equipped with TV, ETV and AS/RS storage system. The information processing platform will strongly support the link up of the cargo flow, documents flow and also the information flow.

The new cargo terminal will only use electric power-driven forklift so as to improve the handling environment.
