Dear agents and direct owners,

In order to facilitate Shanghai Airport Entry-exit Inspection and Quarantine Process Bureau in boosting clearance efficiency of import, preventing alien pest invasion and safeguarding China, all Pudong cargo terminals of EAL will provide "Quarantine Process before Declaration" service for all applicable inbound cargoes on international flights arriving in Pudong Airport and officially charge corresponding fees from March 1, 2014. Detailed scope, charge, payer and charging standard for cargoes for which "Quarantine Process before Declaration" can be applied are as follows:

A. Detailed scope of cargoes within application of "Quarantine Process before Declaration":

All cargoes on inbound international flights and trucks arriving in Pudong Airport, except express goods, mails (by postal route), cargoes in full ULD/container, transshipment goods, diplomatic pouch , free-transport cargoes, and goods directly picked up at the apron.

B. Charge:

Other examination fee for international inbound cargoes

C. Payer: cargo agents and direct cargo owners make direct payment

D. Charging Standard: RMB 0.05 yuan/kg

Minimum charge: 6 yuan/ order

Maximum charge: 240 yuan/ order
